Award recognizes the fastest-growing UF alumni-led businesses in the world
MIRAMAR, FL (PRWEB) FEBRUARY 29, 2016
Bill White, principal and co-founder of Compass Office Solutions, South Florida’s leading full-service office furniture and modular interior construction company, has been named to the Gator100, an award that recognizes the leading University of Florida alumni entrepreneurs in the world. Individuals and their businesses are recognized based on the growth of each company, the representation of UF’s values, and the job creation and overall impact of their organizations on the communities they serve.
Established in 2015, the Gator100 is a distinction presented by the UF Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center (CEI) to the fastest growing Gator-owned or Gator-led businesses in operation today. Gator100 companies are ranked according to their Compound Annual Growth Rate, a measure that determines year-over-year growth in the past three years. This year’s awardees earned a combined $4.7 billion in revenue in 2016, are based in 14 states across the nation, and employ more than 40,000 workers.
When asked for advice on how to nurture a business, Mr. White, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from UF in 1988, said, “Stay focused on serving your customers, and learn as much as you can about business fundamentals before you launch or bring someone on board who has these skills. This will enable profitable growth.”
